Fred Claus Review

Vince Vaughn plays the older brother “Fred” of good ol’ Saint Nick (Paul Giamatti). Ever since Nick was born, Fred always felt left out because Nick would get all the attention and Fred would be the one always causing trouble. So Nick becomes the good son and Fred would just slowly fade away into adulthood. Fred hadn’t seen his brother since he was a kid, then things got bad for Fred and he needed some help. So he decides to call his brother and ask him for money that he desperately needed. Nick decides that he would

The X Files: I Want To Believe Review

This made me believe that they shouldn’t have tried to make another X Files movie. Mulder (Dave Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are back again but they have seemed to put the past behind them as they are both retired from the FBI but a string of disappearances gets Mulder and Scully involved. Being seeked out by Agent Whitney (Amanda Peet) to see a priest (Billy Connolly) who claims that he

The Dark Knight Review

After seeing this for the first time in the theater, i watched it again recently and i have some mixed thoughts about this movie. I thought this movie was really great from the first time i saw it and only problem that i had with it was the raspy voice that Batman had. Christian Bale does a good job as Batman but i just don’t like how his voice sounds and i don’t recall any other Batman movie where they really emphasized on that type of voice. Although it might be a little knit picking but it just seems like he is trying to hard and he has a hairball in his throat. maybe since this

Taken Review

This movie is not “officially” out yet until January 30, 2009 but i happen to have already seen it. This was a great movie and perhaps Liam Neeson’s best action movie if not best movie overall. Bryan Mills (Neeson) and Lenore (Famke Janssen) find out that their daughter (Maggie Grace) was kidnapped while she was on a trip in Paris. Bryan stops at nothing to find his daughter and the people

Irreversible Review

This movie is very raw, intense and for mature audiences only. The camera work can get you dizzy and at the beginning it was not really making much sense to the point of the spinning camera movement. From a movie not starting out so good, it was actually a really good movie. It was a different approach to a film as the movie basically starts from the ending and ends at the beginning, kinda weird but it all makes perfect sense in the end. The movie is basically about a woman (Monica Bellucci) getting raped and beaten up, while  her boyfriend (Vincent Cassel) and

Pineapple Express Review

Not really knowing what this movie was about with its title, i had no idea what it meant. Basically the movie is backed behind Pineapple Express in which is a “herb” and pretty much the whole movie it is about smoking it and “weed” in general. Dale Denton (Seth Rogan) is a court process clerk and on one delivery he witnesses a murder by a drug lord and police officer. He quickly speeds off in his car unknowing leaves his weed in plain site. Not knowing what to do he erratically goes to his own drug dealer Saul Silver (James Franco) and sees if there is anyway that

The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian Review

Oh the movie with the talking animals has struck again. I kind of had a biased opinion about this movie before i even saw it but there were some surprises and some things expected. There was plenty of action in which “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” lacked. I did enjoy all the action and there were a few scenes with the CGI that i thought were spectacular including the “Water Jesus” scene. Well the water figure resembled

WALL·E Review

What a real fun movie this was! From start to finish this animation keeps you interested all the way through. Not really knowing what to expect as i thought it was a slight ripoff of the 1980’s movie “Short Circuit” only as an animation but i was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t. With little dialogue these movie gets you into the life and emotion of a trash compactor robot named WALL·E. With the earth over filled with trash, no life exists as everything is left in ruins and only WALL·E seems to be the only thing that is alive besides his little bug buddy. After doing everything systematically

The Mutant Chronicles Review

Pretty crazy action, scifi movie that takes place in the 23rd century where the world is split up between 4 corporations (countries) in which they are constantly at war with each other until they discover a new enemy. This movie stars Thomas Jane as Major Mitch Hunter who is a no nonsense soldier that is determined to take on anything thrown his way. A machine that came from outer space mutates people to become the ultimate killing weapon. Maj. Hunter who had recently survived a mutant attack has been given the job along with others including Brother Samuel (Ron Perlman), Cpl. Valerie

Tropic Thunder Review

Wow this movie was funny! With a star studded cast this is not only funny but very well acted, with stars Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr, Jack Black, Tom Cruise, Matthew McConaughey and Nick Nolte.  The movie is about the making of a war film in Vietnam and features Tugg Speedman (Stiller), Jeff Portnoy (Black) and Kirk Lazarus(Downey Jr). While making the movie in a location that is supposed to represent Vietnam, the movie is at a halt when Tugg and Kirk can’t get into the same swing of things in their emotional scene. So the producer Les Grossman (Cruise) ecstatically yells at

13 Hours In A Warehouse Review

Not really knowing what to expect from this movie because i didn’t see any trailors on it, it was a decent horror flick. It was supposed to be an easy night for the 5 thugs who were supposed to just wait until morning in the warehouse in order to complete their business deal.

Already not going to plan when two of the thugs bring in a female hostage and then decide to tie her up and keep her in the boiler room. What they didn’t realize is that it wasn’t going to be an easy night and what awaits them is something they have never could have
